Toad in a Hole

This is a slice of bread that has an egg in the middle

Ingredients - per serving

• 1 slice of bread
• 1 Tablespoon butter - softened
• 1 egg

Directions

With a round cookie cuter make a hole in the slice of bread. Butter both sides of the bread. Put the remaining butter in a frying pan and heat at medium until melted. Place the slice of bread in the frying pan. Break the egg and gently slip it into the hole of the bread. Cook until firm. Turn the bread (and egg) over with a spatula. Cook until the bread is browned. Eat while hot.
